SWIM LESSONS
The swim lessons will be directed
by Susan Kelleher, a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
All swim lessons are taught in accordance with American Red Cross
swimming guidelines. Red Cross certificates will be issued
at the end of the lesson session for those who pass.

Both group and private sessions are available and are open
to all ages and experience levels. Check for lesson dates
at the front desk!

Each session lasts two weeks Monday - Thursday.
Each lesson is ½ hour long. In case of cancellation due to
inclement weather, make-up classes are held on Fridays. After June
1, lessons will be open to members and non-members in a
first-come, first-serve basis.
Fees:
Members: $30.00 per session.
Non-members: $60.00 per session and includes 1 all-day BOSC
passes (per guest rules) --to enjoy BOSC for the day and
practice what you have learned!
Class size: 4 Minimum, 12

Refund Policy:
Classes that lack sufficient participation will be cancelled and
all lesson fees will be refunded. Participants may cancel
registration and receive a full refund prior to June 16th
(Session I) and June 30th (Session II). Otherwise no refunds
will be given.
To Sign-up:
Ask for the Swim Lesson Form at the front
desk. Complete the form and pay at the front desk. For priority
placement, members are encouraged to sign-up by June 1.
2008 Sessions:
Session #1
Monday-Thursday, June 16 - June 27
June 20 & June 27 (Fridays) will be reserved as inclement
weather make-up days.
Session #2
Monday - Thursday, June 30 - July 10
July 11 (Friday) will be reserved as the inclement weather
make-up day.
Note: Session II will be conducted only if
there is sufficient interest.
Instructors and Helpers
are Needed!
- Instructors - several
instructors are need, WSI preferred.
- Swim Lesson Helpers - All
swimmers 11 and above that enjoy working with children are
encouraged to apply! Pay is $4.00 per hour!
- If you are interested in being
an instructor or helper:
- Include your age, name
address, and phone number.
- Make sure this is okay with
your parents!
- Your letter must be received
by June 1. Helpers will be notified by June 6th.

Swim Lesson Course
Description
Level I - (Class offered
from 10:30-11:00) This is for very small of
young children; those who are frightened of water (or lessons or
teacher), or are in lessons for the first time. Your child must
be able to stand comfortably in the shallow end by the steps. We
explore the shallow end and slowly introduce your child to
swimming
Level II - (Class offered
from 11:00-11:30) This class is for
children who are ready to learn to swim and are not afraid to
put their face in the water. We teach front and back floats to
start to work up to the front and back crawl.
Level III - (Class offered
in combination with Level IV from 11:00-11:30) A review of the front
and back crawl, and learn the elementary backstroke and begin
diving.
Level IV - (Class offered
in combination with Level III from 11:00-11:30) You must pass Level lll
to enter this level. We review and perfect all previous strokes
and begin kicks for the side and breast strokes.
