2012 SWIM LESSONS
This summer, BOSC swim lessons will again be
directed by a certified Water Safety
Instructor. All swim lessons are taught in
accordance with American Red Cross swimming
guidelines. Red Cross certificates will be
issued at the end of the lesson session for those
who pass.

Lesson session length and time will vary
depending upon the Session that you choose. In
case of cancellation due to inclement weather,
make-up classes are held, with dates provided in the
lesson session information. All lessons are
open to members and non-members in a first-come,
first-serve basis.
Fees:
Members: RATES TO BE POSTED PRIOR TO MAY 2012 Non-members:
Fee includes 1 all-day BOSC pass (per guest
rules) -- to enjoy BOSC for the day and practice
what you have learned!
Payment must be received at the time of
registration.
Refund Policy: Classes that lack
sufficient participation may be cancelled or
combined with other classes. All lesson
fees will be refunded for cancelled classes.
Participants may cancel registration and receive
a full refund prior to the first day of each
Session. Otherwise no refund will be given.
Class size: 4 Minimum, 12 Maximum per class
To Sign-up:
Ask for the Swim Lesson Book at the front
desk. Complete the registration form and pay at
the front desk at the time of registration.
For priority placement, members are encouraged
to sign-up by June 1.
Swim Lesson Course Description
Level I - This is for very small of
young children; those who are frightened of
water, lessons or teacher, or those who are in
lessons for the first time. Your child must be
able to stand comfortably in the shallow end by
the steps. We explore the shallow end and slowly
introduce your child to swimming.
Level II - This class is for children
who are ready to learn to swim and are not
afraid to put their face in the water. We teach
front and back floating to start to work up to
the front and back crawl.
Level III - This class is a review of
the the front and back crawl, in addition to
beginning the elementary backstroke and diving.
Level IV - You must pass Level lll to
enter this level. We review and perfect all
previous strokes and begin kicks for the side
and breast strokes.
