Spring Clean-up will
be held May 3rd and May 10, 2008 9:00am-3:00pm. Black Oak counts on all of
its members to assist in helping us open the pool. Pizza will be
provided.
New wading pool -
opened May 2007.
Volunteering
There are many ways to
help out at Black Oak. Here is a listing of some of our needs
right now. If there is a way that you would like to help out that
is not listed, be sure to contact any of our
Board
Members. We are grateful for all of the volunteer support that
members give each year. Thank you.
Committees – help
needed
We always have an
on-going need for helpers in the following committees:
Lawn & Grounds
– to assist with flower planting in the spring and
trimming shrubs during the year
Waterlog – to
assist with the Waterlog 2-3 times a year
Membership - to
assist with membership functions
Directory –
to assist with compiling the annual directory every two years
Social – to
assist Michelle Maybury with just one social event or various
social events throughout the year
Spring Clean-up
Committee –- to help organize the spring clean-up weekends
Fall Closing
Committee – to help organize the closing of the pool
I thank all the
regular helpers at spring cleanup (even if you miss a year due to
other commitments!). Much of the work is thankless and most
members don't realize how much your work year after year saves
money for other improvements which add safety and comfort to the
club. I also thank other members who were new to spring cleanup
this year and encourage you to help again next year.
